PEORIA, Ill. – Gas prices in the Peoria are probably not falling as much as most of us would like, but they are falling nonetheless.
GasBuddy.com says their survey of Peoria-area gas stations indicate prices declining 7.5 cents per gallon compared to week ago — now averaging $3.46 per gallon.
AAA’s price as of Monday in the Peoria-Pekin area is a little more than $3.50 a gallon — down a penny from Sunday, and down seven cents from a week ago.
Seven cents is about how much the national average went down, too — now sitting at $3.37 according to Gas Buddy.
What’s more, the national average of diesel, analysts say, is down to its lowest level in nearly a year — to $4.53 a gallon.
