NORMAL, Ill. – She wasn’t there long, but the president of Illiois State University is resigning.
It’s not clear why it happened, but Doctor Terri Goss Kinzy’s resignation was effective Tuesday, though the Board of Trustees will vote to accept it on Friday.
25 News reports word came a day later in a campus-wide email.
Kinzy, who had only been on the job less than two years, will get 144-thousand dollars in severance pay, will be paid for unused sick and vacation, and can use the president’s house and company car for another four months.
The university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Aondover Tarhule, will take over on an interim basis until June of 2024.
