PEORIA, Ill. – It’s almost game time!
In what could be the biggest game in years for the Bradley University men’s basketball team, the Braves are playing rival Drake Sunday for what will be the conference title ahead of next week’s Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
“It’s obviously a big game. We know that,” said Brian Wardle, head coach, on WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show.” “They’ve kind of all been big games for us. We’ve played in front of some big crowds already this year. We know we’re going to have a great crowd on Sunday. Our Bradley fans will be out there cheering us on.”
As of Sunday at 12pm, university officials say the game is SOLD OUT, and Peoria Civic Center officials say you’ll want to allow for extra time if you’re going to Sunday afternoon’s game.
Wardle says the big crowd should be to the team’s advantage.
“(We hope to) use the energy of the crowd to make us get on some runs, and use that crowd to motivate us and generate some energy for us when we need it.
If you can’t get in to the game, you can listen to Bradley vs. Drake on the radio. ‘Braves Plus’ pregame coverage starts at 2:05pm, with tipoff at 3:00pm, on 1470 & 100.3 WMBD.
