CANTON, Ill. – Police in Fulton County say a man faces charges for allegedly breaking into two homes, and causing damage at the motel he was staying at.
Canton Police say it started around 1:30 Monday morning when they investigated two break-ins within a block of each other on East Chestnut Street, and North Fourth Avenue.
Police say Robbie Hoots, 42, was found covered in blood on the roof of the Fourth Avenue home, with officers discovering a large amount of damaged property.
About three hours later, officers say they learned that he broke a second-story window and jumped out of the room he had at the Canton Inn, believing it was done before the break-ins.
Hoots is jailed, after being treated for injuries, on charges of Criminal Trespass to a Residence, and Criminal Damage to Property.
