PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police say a teenager is in custody after 71 rounds were fired in a neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Public Information Officer Semone Roth says just after 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Wiswall and Lincoln. They were told a suspect left his vehicle, and began shooting at another male, who fired back.
The suspect fled the area. No one was injured.
Officers later found a suspect identified as 19-year-old Dennis Bailey the Third at Antoinette and Griswold, and arrested him.
Bailey was arrested for Aggrevated Battery, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm without a FOID card.
