PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man wanted by police was found and arrested Friday evening.
Peoria Police says officers observed 25-year-old Andrew Johnson leave a residence and drive away in a vehicle.
Johnson was seen pulling into a business in the area of Jefferson and Caroline Streets, where he was approached and arrested without incident.
Officers found a loaded handgun on Johnson during a search.
He was taken in for questioning and then arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, Aggravated Domestic Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.
Johnson was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
