PEORIA, Ill. – Another business is leaving the Campustown shopping center near Bradley University – the second business to announce that this month.
Bard Optical, however, doesn’t exactly say it’s closing its Campustown location – rather, company vice president Mick Hall says it’s “merging” its Campustown location with its 50-plus-year location in the Metro Centre.
Hall says in a news release the move will give current Campustown patients better parking, less congested traffic, and a larger selection of frames.
“We strive to offer the best for our patients, and that means adjusting our approach to consider their needs more clearly,” said Hall, in the news release.
The locations in North Peoria near Knoxville and Detweiller, and near the Shoppes at Grand Prairie, also remain open.
The merger at the Metro Centre is expected to be done by the end of April. No word on if there will be any job losses.
Dac’s Smokehouse announced earlier this month it was shuttering its Campustown spot.
