PEORIA, Ill. – A heads-up for some Peoria voters, with Election Day next week.
The Peoria County Election Commission says if your polling place is Woodruff Career and Technical Center, that spot is being moved to Lincoln K-8 School, at 700 Mary Street in Peoria.
Authorities say the change is being made due to renovations at Woodruff, which will leave it with no power or water on Election Day.
Polls are open next Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for the elections for seats on the Peoria Public School Board, the At-Large seats on the Peoria City Council, and others.
Early voting also remains available through the weekend for the election.
The Election Commission will use Lincoln K-8 School as an in-person polling place instead of Woodruff Career & Technical Center for the Consolidated General Election on April 4, 2023. Lincoln K-8 School is at 700 Mary Street in Peoria. Voting will be from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. pic.twitter.com/v3QYPvocF1
