PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Fire officials are investigating yet another arson — this time to a home in South Peoria.
Peoria firefighters went to a vacant home near Livingston and Grinnell around 5:20 Wednesday morning and discovered flames shooting through the roof of the one-and-a-half story home, and the upper floors beginning to partially collapse.
The fire was eventually able to be put out after what officials called a “defensive attack.”
No one was hurt, and the home is set for demolition after more than $50,000 in damage was done.
