FULTON COUNTY, Ill. — From the Fulton County EDSA regarding damage from Tuesday night’s tornado:
Later on this (Wednesday) morning we will provide an update on things within this great County.
Some very important information:
– Reminder to Bryant water customers they are on a boil order and emergency conservation. Please use water in very small quantities.
– Please do not come to the damaged areas. Please avoid the area. Please do not come into or near these areas at all. Sight seeing in damaged areas is not needed or appropriate. Please lives and homes were impacted. This isn’t something to go see for selfies.
– Do not approach or go near downed lines. Let utility crews work.
– At this time we do not have a need for volunteers or supplies. That may change. Allow agencies to come together to work the situation at hand.

LEWISTOWN, Ill. – Mother Nature once again wasn’t to nice to the Central Illinois area.
In what might have been a surprise to some despite warnings, the National Weather Service issued a number of Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm warnings Tuesday night.
While there wasn’t much damage in the Peoria area, Fulton County got hit, as residents saw one and maybe more tornadoes.
“Multiple damaged structures, and we have power lines and power poles down,” said Lewistown deputy Fire Chief Jim Tunney, talking with 25 News.
A number of roads were impassable because of damage as of Tuesday night.
A number of homes and buildings in rural Fulton County also sustained damage.
There are reports of injuries, but a number isn’t available.
The National Weather Service, which will survey the damage to determine how strong the tornado was, and how many actually touched down, says baseball-sized hail was reported at one point near Table Grove in Fulton County.

FULTON COUNTY, Ill. – The Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency is telling people to stay off the roads after a reported tornado touched down near Lewistown.
The agency’s Facebook page is telling people that roads in the county are impassable. It’s telling people to avoid Lewistown, St. David, Table Grove, Duncan Mills, and Little America.
It’s also telling people avoid Illinois 100 between St. David and Bryant.

PEORIA, Ill. – Numerous tornado warnings were issued in central Illinois on Tuesday evening as a strong storm system made its way through the area.
Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Fulton Counties received multiple tornado warnings as strong winds and rain made its way through the Peoria-metro area.
Ameren reports that as of 8:25 P.M., more than 2000 customers in the Pekin area had outages.
