PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman has pleaded not guilty to murder charges after her boyfriend was stabbed a month ago.
Heaven Kruzan, 22, was arraigned Thursday morning, according to court records — a week after a grand jury filed First-Degree Murder charges.
Kruzan allegedly stabbed Lamario Billups, 34, during a reported March 8th argument at a home near Stanley and Krause in South Peoria.
Billups died at a hospital not long after the stabbing.
Kruzan remains jailed on $500,000 bond, and will be back in court May 25th, ahead of a potential June 5th trial by jury.
