PEORIA, Ill. – A man who allegedly stabbed another man in February is now charged by a grand jury.
The Peoria County Grand Jury Tuesday charged Johnny Jackson, 50, with one count each of Aggravated Battery and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
He was arrested on two Aggravated Battery counts prior to being released from jail March 24th.
Authorities say Jackson stabbed another man who was trying to break up a fight at a business on MacArthur Boulevard February 12th.
The victim at one point had life-threatening injuries.
Jackson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday, but that would likely become an arraignment.
