PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say they have a second suspect in custody connected with robberies that occurred in December and January.
Peoria Police say Jerrell Hardges, 30, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and taken to jail after trying to flee on foot from police who recognized him. He’s facing three counts each of Armed Robbery and Resisting Police.
Police arrested Desmond Turner, 24, January 11th in connection with a number of armed robberies occurring between December second and January fourth at one gas station and two convenience stores.
He’s since been charged by a grand jury, court records state is representing himself, and is scheduled to go to trial Monday morning.
