PEORIA, Ill. – A man has been arrested after a standoff lasting for a time in North Peoria.
Peoria Police tell 25 News Brian Burnside, 32, was arrested on outstanding warrants.
He initially didn’t want to come out of a home on West Tiffany, near North University when a warrant was trying to be served.
Assistant Police Chief Brad Dixon says when it was learned part of the standoff was live-streamed on Facebook, “it’s the times we’re in” — and that it’s something officers try to prepare for.

PEORIA, Ill. – Details are scarce, but Peoria Police officials say a standoff is taking place in North Peoria.
Police confirm the Friday afternoon incident is on the 1500 block of West Tiffany Court, not far from North University.
Police say they’re trying to get the suspect to come out of a home peacefully.
No word on if they’ve actually made contact with him.
