PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria fire investigator said a residential fire near the corner of N. Atlantic and N.E. Glen Oak Wednesday night in was electrical, causing $60,000 damage.
Firefighters arrived just after 7:30 p.m., finding heavy smoke coming from the home.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Tom Sander said three people were displaced by the fire, including a resident who was taken to a hospital for smoke-related injuries.
Crews were able to save two dogs, but four others died in the fire.
No firefighter injuries were reported at the scene.
