PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is facing multiple weapon charges after being arrested Saturday evening.
Peoria Police says a License Plate Reader helped located a vehicle associated with a wanted subject, identified as 19-year-old Imari Richard, just after 6:30 P.M.
Officers watched the vehicle pull into a business in the area of W. Loucks and Sheridan, with Richard walking in the business.
Richard was contacted by officers inside the business and arrested without incident.
Officers found a reported stolen handgun with an extended magazine during a search of Richard’s vehicle.
Richard was taken to the Peoria County Jail. He is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Under 21, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Home Invasion, as well as a Peoria County Warrant.
