SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – A Peoria native who was a leader in the Illinois business community has died.
The Illinois Chamber of Commerce says President and CEO Todd Maisch has passed away at the age of 57.
A cause of death was not announced.
Maisch reportedly recently stepped away from the job.
He’s a graduate of Illinois State University and the University of Illinois, and joined the Illinois Chamber in 1994.
A number of political leaders have already expressed condolences for Maisch. Comptroller Susana Mendoza, for example, calls him a “fierce champion for the business community.”
Funeral services have yet to be announced.

Todd was a beloved husband, father, and leader in the Illinois business community. We are deeply saddened by his loss.
