CHICAGO, Ill. – The Mega Millions jackpot grows to an estimated $1.25 billion after no one matched all the numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 8, 24, 30, 45, 61 and the yellow ball 12.
No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot since April 18th.
Friday’s $1.25 billion prize is now one of the largest in U.S. history. The odds of winning a smaller prize, like $1 million to $2 million is much higher. A single winner Friday could opt for a lump sum of $625.3 million, or 30 years of payments.
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing for $1.1 billion was the 30th in a row with no winner.
Tonight’s (Wednesday’s) Powerball drawing is worth $95 million.
