PEORIA, Ill. – Two people were arrested by Peoria Police after an early Sunday incident where one of them allegedly pulled a loaded gun on officers.
Police say it happened around 1:45 a.m. near Humboldt and Livingston.
The driver of a vehicle stopped – Desean Jackson, 35 – was found to be wanted on two warrants.
The passenger – Amorta Nelson, 25 – allegedly attempted to flee, and while being placed into custody, revealed a loaded handgun that officers were able to remove.
Nelson is in jail on a host of Theft and weapons-related charges. Jackson, meanwhile, was released from custody.
