Police say they saw two juveniles that matched the descriptions of those allegedly involved in a stolen vehicle incident Tuesday afternoon near McClure and Knoxville.
One of the two was later released, but a 17-year-old male eventually fled, allegedly tossing away a handgun with an extended magazine along the way.
The teen was arrested about two blocks away, and is now in juvenile custody on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, Possession of a Stolen Handgun, No FOID Card, and Resisting Police.
