FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Legendary college basketball coach Bob Knight has passed away.
Knight coached for a majority of his career at Indiana from 1971 to 2000, where he won three national championships.
He was hired at Texas Tech after his Hoosier tenure ended in controversy, then transitioned to a television analyst role.
Knight also coached at Army, and led the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team to gold at the 1984 Los Angeles games.
Knight was 83.
