Two people injured in three-vehicle crash near downtown

PEORIA, Ill. – A three-vehicle accident just east of downtown Peoria injured two people.

Peoria Fire says the two people that had to be extricated from one of the cars involved near Jefferson and Spring Streets around 4:00 p.m. Friday suffered non-life-threatening injuries but were taken to the hospital.

The people in the two other cars were unhurt.

No word on what caused the crash.
