PEORIA, Ill. – A Princeville woman has pleaded guilty to charges accusing her of mistreatment of animals, almost two weeks before she was to go to trial.
Court records indicate Stacy Mueller, 42, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, and three misdemeanor counts of Cruelty to Animals, and will be sentenced January 24th.
Mueller allegedly left a dozen dogs in a hot shed behind her home in May of this year, with no food or water.
One of the dogs had died, while the others were malnourished and covered in flies and feces.
Mueller has been out of jail after posting bond following her arrest.
