URBANA, Ill. – Two more senior living facilities operated by Peoria-based Petersen Healthcare are operated by them no more.
Court documents filed earlier this week in Central District federal court in Urbana indicate a federal judge has granted receivership over homes in Charleston and in Greenup, south of Charleston.
The company that sought the receivership, X-Caliber Capital, accuses Petersen of defaulting on over $5 million dollars in loans.
That brings to 19 the number of Petersen facilities that are now under receivership for unpaid loans, including some in central Illinois.
Petersen has claimed that they were the victim of a ransomware attack some months ago, and that they have so far been unable to file bankruptcy.
