PEORIA, Ill. – One of the main roads in Peoria’s East Bluff could soon see some major improvements.
The Peoria City Council is scheduled to vote on a proposal at the Tuesday, March 12th meeting on a nearly $4.6 million bid to reconstruct Wisconsin Avenue.
The project would rebuild the road between Nebraska and Forrest Hill. It would also build new sidewalks on the west side of the road, and a multi-use path on the east side.
The city will also look into reconstructing the portion from McClure to Forrest Hill, but on a separate contract.
City council is also expected to vote on a salary increase for City Manager Patrick Urich in its consent agenda. It would give Urich a 3% raise to a base annual salary of $220,149.83.
The resolution would also give Urich a longevity bonus of $5,000.
