PEORIA, Ill. – A Norwood man is going to prison for a total of ten years after escaping the Peoria County Jail last year, stealing a vehicle, and ending up in Pekin where he was caught.
Peoria County Court records indicate Cory Bragg was sentenced last week on counts of Escape and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
Bragg fled the Peoria County Jail last September, getting all the way to Pekin after stealing a vehicle and leading police on a high-speed chase.
A number of charges in several other cases were dropped in exchange.
Bragg is eligible for day-for-day credit, which could lead to less than five years behind bars, according to records.
