PEORIA, Ill. – Early next week, work will begin on ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) ramp improvements near the Peoria Riverfront.
Peoria Public Works’ Nick McMillion says the work along SW Water Street will begin on Monday, March 18 at the intersections of Main, Liberty and Commercial Streets.
As construction gets underway, some sidewalks near Main and Water Streets will be closed.
The ramp work is expected to last two months, weather permitting.
McMillion says pedestrians should use caution in the area and watch for sidewalks that are closed to traffic.
Drivers are asked to keep an eye out for workers near the intersections where work is being done as well.
