UPDATED 4:46 P.M.
PEORIA, Ill. – A hate crime and vandalism have been alleged to have occurred on the campus of Bradley University.
According to a campus safety alert Friday morning, the university says someone reported graffiti being spray-painted at various points on campus.
25 News reports the campus alert said the vandalism “appears to be motivated by a bias directed toward a religious group.”
University president Stephen Standifird said in a campus e-mail that the institution won’t tolerate it and that “Those responsible will be found and held accountable.”
To that end, university police released a surveillance photo of a potential suspect, and they want help identifying that person. The photo is above.
