PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley Braves men’s basketball team has its first win in the National Invitation Tournament.
The Braves, seeded #3, defeated Chicago’s Loyola Ramblers 74-62.
The Braves never lost the lead, but the Ramblers made a game of it in the second half, coming close on several occasions to taking the lead.
Duke Deen led the Braves with 18 points, while Darius Hannah scored 17, and Malevy Leons had 14.
The Braves will travel to Ohio to take on Cincinnati, who defeated San Francisco in overtime, 73-72, on Saturday at 1 p.m. Pregame coverage begins at 12:35 p.m. on 1470 & 100.3 WMBD, WMBDRadio.com, the WMBD Radio mobile app, and by telling your smart speaker to “Play WMBD Radio.”
