PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office identified the suspect as 16-year-old Janard Quin.
The office says because of Quin’s age, along with the Aggravated Battery with a Firearm charge, his case will be tried in adult court.
Quin is scheduled to have a detention hearing on Tuesday.

PEORIA, Ill. – A teenager reportedly shot another teenager in one of three shooting incidents Sunday in Peoria.
Peoria Police say officers found a 16-year-old male in the area of Sheridan and Armstrong at around 2:00 P.M., after three shots were fired about one block away.
The 16-year-old was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, officers spotted a different 16-year-old described as the suspect in the area of Elizabeth and Sheridan, and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
The 16-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon Under 21, and No FOID. He was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
Peoria Police are still looking for suspects in the other two shootings on Sunday.
Police say an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound was found just after 9:00 P.M. in the area of New York and Illinois. He told police he was shot inside a residence in the area of Pennsylvania and California.
He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded just after 10:30 P.M. to N. Great Oak Road on reports of a person shot. The adult male victim told police he was shot by an unknown person while walking from a house in the area.
He also was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
