CHICAGO, Ill. – At least 32 people were shot, four of them fatally, in Chicago over Easter weekend.
Most of the violence happened Saturday night into Sunday morning, including a large number of drive-by shootings as well as many young women being shot – one event reportedly injuring four mostly teen girls and killing a 19-year-old girl inside a business on the city’s west side.
There was another drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon, where four young men were walking down a sidewalk. A car drove up, two males with guns got out and started shooting, killing a 16-year-old boy and sending the other three in their 20s to the hospital.
FOX News says no arrests have been made in either shooting. Chicago Police are still investigating.
Chicago’s violent crime rates have risen at a steady pace since 2019.
