PEORIA, Ill. – A reported theft Saturday afternoon in Peoria led to an arrest on an out-of-state warrant for homicide.
Peoria Police say they responded to the theft in the area of the Westlake Shopping Center just before 1:00 P.M., finding an adult female who told police her purse was stolen from a local business.
Officers then located the reported vehicle involved in the theft in the area of Forrest Hill and North Western Avenue and made a traffic stop.
The female in the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Tiambra Walker, reportedly attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained.
Walker was arrested on charges of Theft, Unlawful Use of a Credit Card, Aggravated Battery on Police, and Resisting Police. She was also found to be wanted on a Madison, Wisconsin warrant for vehicular homicide.
Two males in the vehicle were also arrested. 29-year-old Tervon Moore was arrested on charges of Theft and Unlawful Use of a Credit Card. 52-year-old Thomas Jennings was arrested on charges of Suspended License and Drug Charges.
All three were taken to the Peoria County Jail.
