PEORIA, Ill. – A man died after a crash involving a vehicle and an electric scooter Monday afternoon in South Peoria.
Peoria Police say officers arrived just after 2:15 P.M. in the intersection of Arago and Grinnell, finding the adult male driver of the scooter down.
He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
Police say the scooter reportedly ran a stop sign while traveling westbound on Grinnell and crashed into the vehicle northbound on Arago.
Police say the vehicle’s driver, an adult female, received a Notice to Appear after being cited for Suspended Registration, DUI, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
The vehicle’s driver was not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
