PEORIA, Ill. – A large group of juveniles fighting Saturday evening in Peoria led to multiple injuries and arrests.
Peoria Police say officers were sent to Bestor and Columbia Terrace just before 7:00 P.M. on reports of a fight involving 30 juveniles. When police arrived and approached the group, the juveniles fled on foot.
Police were told en route that a female in the group showed a handgun, but no weapon was found.
Officers did find a female juvenile who reportedly said she was hit in the back of the head multiple times with a gun during the fight.
She and two other juveniles were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Two adults allegedly involved in the fight were found and arrested, 56-year-old Ella Washington and 37-year-old Antoniss Cooley. Both were arrested on charges of Mob Action, while Cooley was also charged with Aggravated Battery.
Both were taken to the Peoria County Jail.
