PEORIA, Ill. – Two people were taken to a hospital after a vehicle drove into a Peoria building Thursday.
25 News reports the incident occurred at Direct Travel when the elderly woman driving the vehicle reportedly confused the gas and brake pedals and crashed into the business.
Peoria Fire says an employee of Direct Travel was pinned inside the building, and the woman had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Both the woman and employee suffered minor injuries, with the employee suffering a leg injury.
Damage to the building is estimated at $80,000.
