BARTONVILLE, Ill. – A female juvenile was arrested yesterday in Bartonville after allegedly having a gun on her lap in the drive-thru of a business.
Bartonville Police say officers were dispatched just before 2:30 P.M. to the business on W. Garfield in Bartonville Square.
Police say the female was reportedly known to be a former employee and had made a previous threat to the business.
Officers spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of the Limestone High School tennis courts. The vehicle then exited onto Airport Road where a high-risk traffic stop was made, eventually stopping in the high school teacher’s parking lot.
All three people in the car were detained and the female was arrested.
Police say it was an isolated incident and there’s no threat to Limestone High School. Police add that no further information will be released because all three involved are juveniles.
