PEORIA, Ill. – Two major road construction projects are expected to impact traffic next week after the Memorial Day holiday.
IDOT announced that overnight full closures of I-474 at Airport Road will start on Tuesday and continue each night through Friday morning.
The closures are needed to install steel beams and will affect eastbound lanes first with traffic being rerouted between 10pm and 5:30am each day.
And on Tuesday, the eastbound lanes of the Cedar Street Bridge will be closed for structural work that IDOT says will eventually allow the bridge’s current load limit restriction to be lifted.
The closure and reroute will last for three weeks.
The westbound lanes of the Cedar Street Bridge will not be affected.
