PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police have identified the other driver involved in a fatal crash last month on Orange Prairie Road.
Police on Thursday identified the driver of the May 4th crash that killed 18-year-old Nevaeh Mitchell as 25-year-old Levi Dietz.
Peoria Police say Dietz was released from a hospital on May 14th.
The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 11:45 P.M., where the vehicles crashed head-on near the Louisville Slugger complex.
Peoria Police say neither lighting, speed, or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
But police say investigators are awaiting toxicology testing to determine if drugs or other intoxicating compounds were a factor, with results estimated to be released by the end of June or early July.
The crash remains under investigation, and any potential charges will be determined after it is complete.
