PEORIA, Ill. – A 17-year-old was arrested on weapons charges in downtown Peoria Wednesday night.
Peoria Police say they made contact with a group of male juveniles in the area of Perry and Fayette just before 7:30 P.M.
Officers reportedly found a stolen loaded handgun with an extended magazine on the 17-year-old.
A 14-year-old was reportedly found with a BB gun, but was issued a violation and released from the scene.
The 17-year-old was arrested on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, No FOID, and Possession of a Firearm Under 21.
He was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
