PEKIN, Ill. – Fire left a home in Pekin with heavy damage Monday morning.
25 News reports the fire at the house in the area of Charlotte and N. 2nd happened while the family was asleep inside.
The family was reportedly able to escape after being woken up by neighbors.
The back of the home received extensive damage.
The fire is under investigation.
