PEORIA, Ill. – A reported domestic dispute in Peoria Tuesday night led to a man being arrested on an attempted murder charge.
Police arrived to the area of Wilcox and North just before 8:30 P.M., finding 40-year-old Deontrae Jordan.
Jordan was taken in custody without incident, and officers allegedly located a handgun near Jordan.
A female involved refused medical treatment after sustaining minor injuries.
In addition to the Attempted First Degree Murder charge, Jordan was arrested on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Jordan was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
