PEORIA, Ill. – Two people were injured, one with an apparent gunshot wound, after an altercation early Friday morning in Peoria.
Police responded to reports of a man who had been shot in an apartment in the area of Linn and Republic just after 2:15 A.M.
Officers found a male who had reportedly been shot once in the chest, who was taken to a local hospital, along with a female who suffered significant injuries.
Police say the injuries to both are not considered to be life-threatening.
An investigation into the altercation continues.
