PEORIA, Ill. – No one was injured after a house fire in South Peoria Friday afternoon.
Peoria Fire says crews responded at around noon to Butler and South Western, finding black smoke coming from the front door of the one-and-a-half story house.
The homeowner had told firefighters their dog was still inside.
The fire found in the kitchen was quickly put out, with firefighters finding a dog trapped inside. The dog was checked out by AMT and had no injuries.
The fire was determined to be accidental.
