PEORIA Ill. – One person was taken to the hospital after a tent-fire Thursday morning in Peoria.
Earlier in the morning, the Peoria Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Northeast Monroe and Fayette Street, on a report of a fire.
Once arriving, crews found a tent had caught on fire and a person had sustained burns.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames, and took the person to the hospital.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
