PEORIA Ill. – According to 25News, Wildlife Prairie Park’s famous groundhog, Gertie has predicted an early spring in our future early Sunday morning.
Since 1993, Gertie has been predicting the weather on Groundhog Day.
Hanna City Mayor Anthony Fryxell was live at the Park to deliver the momentous news.
Local musician, Barry Cloyd, entertained the crowd with music and taught guests the “Wake Up, Gertie” song.
