EAST PEORIA, Ill. – An East Peoria nursing home could be shutting down for good as early as next month.
25 News reports that management of Serenity Assisted Living and Memory Care sent a letter to residents and their families about the move, though did not explain why the move was taking place.
The letter states that the final day of operations will be April 8th, but could be as early as February.
The letter says the decision was not made lightly and that staff is helping residents and families find alternative options.
A request for comment was made to Serenity’s executive director and CEO.
