PEORIA, Ill. – A Mossville man accused of uploading child sex abuse materials to a social media app has been indicted by a Peoria County grand jury.
39-year-old Dustin Myers was indicted Tuesday on two counts of Child Pornography and one count of Violation of Sex Offender Registration Duties.
Peoria County prosecutors allege Snapchat and Gmail accounts with phone numbers associated with those accounts were linked to Myers and had child sex abuse materials on both.
Myers reportedly confessed to owning the accounts, but denied the materials were his. He also allegedly failed to register his Snapchat account with police after being previously convicted in a prior sex abuse case in Woodford County.
Myers is due back in court next week for arraignment.
