EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Fire at an East Peoria home caused $100,000 damage Sunday night, including damage to vehicles in an attached garage.
Assistant Fire Chief Andy Ogburn said crews arrived just after 7:45 p.m., finding flames coming from the garage, but they were able to put the fire out quickly and ventilate the home in the 100 block of Shannon Hills Drive.
Residents living in the home got out before firefighters arrived on the scene. The Red Cross is assisting them with temporary housing.
There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
