EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The East Peoria Fire Department is investigating the cause of a barn fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon on Cimmeron Drive.
Crews were called to the scene at 5:09 p.m., finding the backside of the barn fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters and paramedics initiated an aggressive attack, bringing the blaze under control within 20 minutes.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Ronnie Marmitt, no injuries were reported, and no residents were displaced.
Damage is estimated at $150,000. The cause remains under investigation.
