PEORIA, Ill. – Carle Health Greater Peoria Oncology is offering free, walk-in cancer screenings and mammograms to the community next week.
On Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Carle Health Methodist North in Peoria will be doing screenings for various types of cancer, including lung, skin, colon, cervical, prostate, and genetic cancers.
Carle Health Methodist North is located just off N. Allen Road, at 2338 W. Van Winkle Way in Peoria.
Women who are eligible can also schedule a free mammogram at one of three Carle Health Greater Peoria hospitals on Tuesday.
Funding for the free screenings is provided by the Carle Health Center for Philanthropy in Greater Peoria and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Illinois Breast & Cervical Cancer Program.
Since 2021, these free screening events have helped hundreds of local residents receive vital preventive care.
